The People :: Meet The Band
Steve Hardin :: Consultant :: The original one

Steve Hardin has been with The Phonograph since the first needle drop. An expansion of the old Gramophone Company (formed in 1975), Steve and his partners purchased the business in 1989 and created The Phonograph.

Throughout the decade of the 90’s, Steve Hardin was a pioneer in the development of residential systems integration in the Tulsa area — and his demand for excellence still echoes throughout the region today. Steve managed the daily operations of The Phonograph until the spring of 2003, and now serves as a valued consultant for any project.

Roger Owings :: President & Project Manager :: The legendary one

On any given day, Roger Owings is called on for his experience in any number of capacities. As General Manager, Roger is responsible for many of the daily operations. As Project Manager, he reviews all proposed projects and serves as a liaison between clients, builders, contractors, designers and installers. As Site Examiner, Roger performs on-going project inspections, working closely with in-house personnel to assure system design and installation meets our uncompromising standards of excellence, performance and operational ease.

Roger has over 25 years of direct experience in residential systems integration and is a CEDIA certified installer — as well as a great partner for your next project.

Bryan Tosh :: Systems Designer & Estimator :: The vocal one

An early love of music spurned Bryan’s hobby into a notable career. After nearly two decades, his technical knowledge and know-how are invaluable to customers of The Phonograph. His specialty: Delivering systems that jazz his clients, giving them the same enjoyment that inspired his dedication to the industry of sight and sound. As a Systems Designer and Estimator, Bryan is there for initial client discussions, reviewing architectural plans and technologies, and then designing the system. He makes numerous jobsite visits, addresses budgets, and fine-tunes each client’s design.

After completing hundreds of systems, he takes pride that no two are alike. His reward, a client saying, “This system…it is so cool.”

David Glenn :: Lighting System Specialist :: The bright one

A lifelong audio, video and electronics enthusiast, David originally worked for The Gramophone. But nearly a decade ago, David went ‘back to school,’ learning to design, engineer, install and program lighting control systems in residences — whether it’s 3000 or 33,000 square feet, Colonial or Contemporary.

He works closely with designers and homeowners to achieve the most elegant installation imaginable. He combines a simplicity of operation, time-and-power-saving operational control — myriad tricks and techniques including his love of centralized dimming — to create home lighting. His lighting is famous for emphasizing the formal, casual, even historic characteristics of home furnishings and fine architectural design.

Mark Geibel :: System Integration :: The mindful one

A long time ago, in a movie theater far, far away…
...Actually, it was in a Tulsa cinema where Mark Geibel first saw Star Wars, and developed a passion for the movie watching experience.

From that moment on, Mark could be found working at drive-ins, eventually even managing theaters in Tulsa. So, as if scripted in a favorite movie, his dedication led him to a logical conclusion: a career in home cinema creation. Now with more than 15 years of experience, Mark’s understanding of system integration is crucial to our customers. Mark takes pride in working closely with clients and designers to develop a comprehensive solution, tailored to each of our client’s specific wishes.
